My Favorite Anime – Thirty Day Anime Challenge {DAY TWO}

What is my favorite anime? That’s a really tough question to answer.

For a while, I was absolutely convinced that my favorite anime was Soul Eater. Now, it’s not the best anime I’ve ever seen, but it’s one of my personal favorites. But then I took some time to think about it. The main reason why I liked the Soul Eater anime so much was because I had read the manga first. Same thing with Rurouni Kenshin and Ouran High School Host Club. Although all of those anime have a special place in my heart, none of them fit in the number one spot.

So what’s actually my favorite anime, you ask? I’ll tell you.

This is what my dream anime looks like. It’s funny, full of action and mystery, yet still romantic. Unfortunately, this show is on the unpopular side and not many people have seen it. It’s a stand-alone prequel, so you don’t have to watch the Lupin the Third series to understand it. The characters are very interesting, and the art style is exceptionally beautiful.

All of these factors make The Woman Called Fujiko Mine my favorite anime. I feel like I can rewatch the series at any time and still enjoy it to its fullest.

This was Day Two of the Thirty Day Anime Challenge. Check back in tomorrow for Day Three!

      1. Thank you. I just switched because I finished Tokyo Ghoul.
        I seen clips of the anime and it looks like it could be a guilty pleasure. Fujiko looks like a hot and tough woman. Lol

      2. I would ask her to be my girlfriend but I am afraid she will still my money lol. I seen the first season of Tokyo Ghoul. It’s a good show but I felt like it was rushed.

      3. Really? I need to watch Lupin III. I first saw the anime on Adult Swim with Inuyasha when I was elementary school. All I remember was I saw a guy in red who loves treasure and acting flirty with her.

  1. This post pleases me greatly. As a long time Lupin the Third fan, A Woman Called Fujiko Mine is nearly as good as it gets — it was truly special! I think the ending trips people up the first time through — I know it did me — but upon a re watch everything fell into place and I really ended up loving the show. This is one I’ll likely have us review on The Blade Licking Thieves Podcast at some point in the future, but I’m going to wait a while because the Greatest Movie Ever Podcast did a whole show (a rather good one) about it just a while back.
